Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to start their summer vacation with a paper airplane contest Thursday, May 26 – National Paper Airplane Day.
Children can make paper airplanes at home or visit the library Monday or Tuesday to make one.
The contest will be held at Greene County Community Center, with students in grades K-4 competing from 1 to 2 pm and students in grades 5-8 competing from 3 to 4 pm. There will be door prizes and certificates for the young aeronautical engineers/pilots.
The Jefferson public library and Greene County Community Center are collaborating on the event.
